Satan's Real Plan

For roughy 50 years I was taught by my LDS teachers and leaders that Satan wanted to force all of us to do the right thing in his misguided plan to save humanity and steal GOD's honor. His plan was simply one of coercion. 

That was not his plan.

Who the heck would go along with such nonsense? People agreeing to be slaves? Not a chance in outer darkness.

Moses 4 verse 3 

Most High God speaking; "...Satan rebelled against me, and sought to destroy the agency of man..."

What Satan attempted to do was present a plan where agency (aka accountability) had no place in this life. In essence his idea was to allow us to do whatever we wanted without consequences. 

Now, that is an attractive plan. I work with lazy teenagers, and they are constantly trying to avoid  consequences. Satan's plan appealed to the weak spirits. Some of them were even foolish enough to refuse to repent in the life before this one. They have followed him straight to a hell that never ends.

Moses 4:3 could be worded "Satan rebelled against me, and sought to eliminate accountability for people's behavior."

He is still using these tactics today. He gets parents to be a child's wish-granter. He has governments under his control (and they are all under his control) to promise people something for nothing. He gets religions to promote salvation via membership and attendance. It seems to be working quite well with billions of people.

Start taking responsibility for your actions. You can only control yourself. It is Satan that wants to control everyone. He wants slaves, but he is not using coercion to control them. He is using a false promise freedom. Cain thought he was "free" when his took this life of his brother Abel. 

For the semi-religious folks he uses the concept of"GOD is going to save everyone regardless of behavior." For the religious zealots he uses "GOD is only going to save Mormons (or Jews, or Catholics, or Muslims, or Protestants).

For the atheists and cowardly agnostics, the devil uses the ridiculous idea that "there is no GOD." Of course that means, "there is no devil."

There is a GOD MOST HIGH.

There is GOD the SON (JESUS).

There is an adversary trying to make you as miserable as he is.

There are judgements coming. Some occur at a personal level is this life. There is a preliminary one for everyone at death, and a final judgement for this phase of existence when we are resurrected.
